However, in the end, it will likely turn out to be quite rewarding, emotionally and financially.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What A Florist Does<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Basically, a florist is someone whose job is to arrange mainly flowers, but also other plant parts, into creative and unique floral arrangements like bouquets, centerpieces, wreaths, and so on. But it doesn&#8217;t stop there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apart from maintaining the flowers, making recommendations to customers, and other mini jobs associated directly with the flowers, florists also have to deal with delivering orders, bookkeeping, preparing quotes for customized arrangements, and more related side jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Essential Skills And Qualities Of An Ideal Florist?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you considering a career as a florist? Here are some skills and qualities that you&#8217;ll find invaluable throughout your career:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li> <strong>Creativity<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In simple terms, no florist can do without creativity. Having an eye for balance between colors, texture, proportion, and alignment coupled with that innovative, instinctive ability to try new things and experiment with different ideas will go a long way in ensuring you have a successful career. For each of these encounters, it&#8217;s important that a florist makes a good impression. A florist has to be a &#8220;people person.&#8221; Imagine someone showing up at your doorstep with a nice flower bouquet but you look up and the person&#8217;s frowning at you. Impossible, right? This will be virtually impossible if all the florists do is arrange flowers and smile at customers without keeping any records. Especially when dealing with supplying flower arrangements for large events, florists need to organize and plan ahead for transportation, storage, maintenance, and delivery. You can develop these skills if you want to. You don&#8217;t just go ahead, doing it the way you think it should be done. Instead, you learn from experienced people who have spent years honing this same skills.
