It&#8217;s a chemical used when making soap. You can get it in local hardware stores or even online. You must ensure that the sodium hydroxide in the lye you want to buy is 100% pure if you want it to work well while producing soap. If it&#8217;s not, don&#8217;t buy it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Distilled Water<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Water is very essential in soapmaking. Before combining the oil with lye, it is used to create a lye solution. The saponification of the oil and lye is completed with the aid of water. For beginners, we recommend using distilled water though some people use other liquids such as beer, coffee, tea, coconut milk etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Easy And Affordable Handmade Soap Recipes<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>As a beginner, using the melt and pour method makes soap easy and simple to make for you as there is no need to do the messy job of working with lye. However, to make your soaps customized, you can go out for the hot process and create everything from scratch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>RELAXING CITRUS RECIPE<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Making a fresh citrus soap is easy, apart from the main ingredients, all you need is orange essential oil. You can also add a cinnamon essential oil to improve the freshness. First, create your lye solution by adding your lye to the water and after cooling, a little bit of sodium lactate for smoother bars. Then, mix your oils under low heat from a cooker. When it reaches a temperature of 120 &#8211; 130 \u00b0 F, slowly add the lye solution and then later, add the mixture of the orange and cinnamon essential oils. When your soap hardens, it will have a pleasant, fresh citrus scent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>DOUBLE BUTTER RECIPE<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This recipe combines two premium butter components (cocoa butter and Shea butter), both of which are highly beneficial to the skin. You can add gold and brown mica (a soap colourant) in it to give it texture and a golden, sparkly colour. Since the mica is a somewhat heavy ingredient, apply it right as the soap is beginning to thicken to prevent the colourant from sinking to the bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>HONEY SOAP RECIPE<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You need four major components total\u2014milk goat&#8217;s melt and pour base, raw honey, soap colourant, and fragrance\u2014 to make up this straightforward soap recipe. Because of its antimicrobial qualities, which can also enliven a drab complexion, honey naturally improves skin when it is used in soap. Melt the milk goat&#8217;s melt and pour the recipe and mix it with the raw honey. Then add the colourant and fragrances afterwards. Use a honeycomb mould to create the cutest honey soap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>FLOWER SOAP RECIPE<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You&#8217;ll need coconut oil and Shea butter (solid oils) and olive oil, sunflower oil and castor oil (liquid oils), lye. Essential oils are optional but if you feel like it, chamomile and lavender are great options. Melt the solid oils first and then add the liquid oils. When the mixture is at 120 &#8211; 130 \u00b0 F, add the lye solution and then the essential oils. To make your bar look pretty, you can decorate them with dried flowers. Other flowers will turn brown on contact except for Calendula petals. The alternative is to hold off until your soap has dried out. Spray witch hazel or denatured alcohol over the portions of your soap where you want flowers. Wait for the alcohol to dry before scattering the dried flowers on top. The flowers will be attached to the soap once it has completely dried.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>HERBAL SOAP RECIPE<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You might like this recipe if you grow your own herbs. Mix in your own chopped herbs such as chamomile, marshmallow roots, lemon balm and others. Use the oils mentioned in the flower recipe except for the castor oil.
